Handyma’am was founded in 2019 by me, Katie Whitaker, as a full service handy business serving Brooklyn + Manhattan. In 2023 my wife and I bought a home in Sullivan County as weekenders but quickly became full time residents.

My background in home repairs, love of real estate and eye for detail led me to a career in home inspections. I completed my inspector training with AHIT and quickly became a member of InterNachi and ASHI. We offer water quality, Radon and general home inspections. We don’t offer: bad attitudes, mansplaining or aggressive promotional emails.

When I’m not fumbling around in your attics and basements, you can find me on a pickleball court or putzing around Sullivan County in my 95’ Geo Tracker with the top down.
